aramido at the Night of Digitalization

The Bunte Nacht der Digitalisierung (Night of Digitalization) aims to make digitalization in Karlsruhe visible and tangible for everyone. As a partner of the Night, aramido GmbH supports this goal and invites you to its premises at Amalienstraße 24 on October 11, 2019, from 3:00 PM. Under the motto „Making Security Visible,“ there is a colorful program to experience. From exciting live hacking presentations and a practical workshop on soldering a USB condom to an exhibition of hacking tools, the security consultants of aramido GmbH showcase a wide range of valuable and entertaining content.

Live Hacking

Those who want to protect effectively must know how attacks are carried out. aramido employees demonstrate that hacking is also part of an information security consultant's business in four exciting live hacking presentations. Current threats are presented, the Cold Boot attack on disk encryption is introduced, and the art of forensics is demonstrated using an extortion case. As a guest speaker for the first presentation, „What to do in case of data breaches?“ attorney Nico Arfmann, CEO of the commercial law firm ARFMANN Rechtsanwälte in Karlsruhe provides insights into the data protection law aspects of data breaches.

Secure Charging with the USB Condom

Those who want to be active themselves have the perfect opportunity at the soldering workshop to create their own small gadget. Using soldering irons and 3D-printed housings, visitors create their own USB condom. With this useful tool, you can charge devices with confidence at foreign USB ports.

Hacker Tools

Get an overview of the tools used by penetration testers at aramido's hacking tool exhibition. From the WiFi Pineapple to the Rubber Ducky, you can learn how seemingly inconspicuous tools can cause significant damage.

Cryptography Made Easy

Cryptography is often the basis for security in information systems. Without the ability to encrypt data and thus effectively protect it from access, most security goals would simply be unattainable. But even today's complex cryptography started small. Using the CryptoBox from the Karlsruhe University of Education, specifically developed for students from 1st to 10th grade, people of all ages can gain easy and playful access to this fascinating subject.
