Seminar for Hoteliers on IT Security
As part of the IT Security Initiative for Hotels , aramido has dedicated itself to the security of the hospitality industry. In cooperation with DEHOGA Rheinland-Pfalz and the Bietmann law firm, aramido will conduct a seminar on data protection and data security at the DEHOGA Academy in Bad Kreuznach on March 21, 2017.
Current Threats for Hotels
Hoteliers and restaurateurs will receive an overview of obligations, deadlines, and implementation needs in the area of data protection and data security in the hospitality industry. Current legal requirements such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the IT Security Act, and the Privacy Shield agreement with the USA and their implications for the hospitality industry will be examined. Through a live hacking demonstration, it will be shown how easily criminal guests can obtain credit card data and other sensitive guest data by attacking the hotel WLAN. Finally, it will be shown how hotels can gain a competitive advantage through effective measures for more data protection and data security.Data Protection and Data Security Experts as Speakers
The speakers are attorney Boris Maskow from the Bietmann law firm and IT security consultant Armin Harbrecht from the IT security consultancy aramido. Both have years of experience in their respective fields and the hotel industry.
