Under the motto „Making Information Security Visible,“ there is a colorful interactive program: from exciting live hacking presentations and a practical setup station for configuring your own YubiKey to an exhibition of hacking tools, our security consultants showcase a wide range of valuable content. At the Tschunk Bar, on our roof terrace, with card games, soldering stations, and more, we invite you to tinker and linger together.

Live Hacking

Those who want to protect effectively must know how attacks are carried out. aramido employees demonstrate that hacking is part of an information security consultant's business in three exciting live hacking presentations. Current threats via smartphones and modern voice assistants like Alexa are presented, and the Cold Boot attack on disk encryption is demonstrated. In the presentation „Who is TOM?“ guest speaker attorney Irene Chemnitzer from the commercial law firm ARFMANN Rechtsanwälte and Armin Harbrecht, CEO of aramido GmbH, provide insight into how technical and organizational measures ensure greater security in the processing of personal data.

Hacker Tools

Get an overview of the tools used by penetration testers at aramido's hacking tool exhibition. From the WiFi Pineapple to the Rubber Ducky, you can learn how seemingly inconspicuous tools can cause significant damage.

Secure Multi-Factor Authentication

Those who want to set up their own YubiKey for secure multi-factor authentication will find it at the YubiKey setup station. There, aramido's security consultants show how it's done and help configure the hardware token. To participate, please register by June 24th via ; the number of participants is limited. You are welcome to bring your own laptop to set up and try out the YubiKey on-site. The YubiKey can be purchased directly from aramido. An example of secure logins via WebAuthn and why it protects against phishing attacks is described in this blog article .

Application Threat Modeling Made Easy

"What could (possibly) go wrong?" Ever since "Insecure Design" was added to the fourth place on the OWASP Top Ten list in 2021, it has been clear that security requirements should be considered as early as possible in the development process. One of the techniques to achieve this is Application Threat Modeling. Based on the experience of many threat modeling workshops and inspired by other threat modeling card games, aramido has developed a threat modeling card game specifically for web applications. Using a sample application, participants can easily train their threat modeling skills in practice.

Biometrics - Never Trust It

Matching the smartphone hacking presentation, visitors can clone their own fingerprint using simple tricks and everyday materials. It's amazing how positively corresponding sensors react!

Secure Charging with the USB Condom

Those who want to be active themselves have the perfect opportunity at the soldering workshop to create their own small gadget. Using soldering irons and 3D-printed housings, visitors create their own USB condom. With this useful tool, you can charge devices with confidence at foreign USB ports.

Cryptography Made Easy

Cryptography is often the basis for security in information systems. Without the ability to encrypt data and thus effectively protect it from access, most security goals would simply be unattainable. But even today's complex cryptography started small. Using the CryptoBox from the Karlsruhe University of Education, specifically developed for students from 1st to 10th grade, people of all ages can gain easy and playful access to this fascinating subject.
