November Events: aramido leads you safely through the digital wonderland

Winter is approaching and Christmas is already around the corner: it is once again the perfect time for fairy tales by the fireplace! Just in time for this beautiful season, aramido takes you to the digital wonderland in two events and shows you how to protect yourself and your colleagues from the evil creatures that threaten the fairy tale paradise of the digital working world.

Trickery in New Territory – Presentation by Armin Harbrecht on Nov 7, 2019

Trickery is not a new phenomenon. Scammers have always relied on basic principles of human behavior. In times of digital and networked work, resourceful criminals have developed a wide repertoire of fraud techniques. As part of the event „IT Security: Rules, Standards, and Guidelines for Human and Machine“ Armin Harbrecht , the CEO of aramido, will show how criminals use some basic principles of human behavior and what measures should be taken to protect companies and employees. He will present and explain common social hacking techniques.

The presentation will take place on November 7, 2019, at 1:30 PM as part of the free event series „OpenInnovation@HoLL – Innovation through Cooperation” at the FZI. Participation is free.

Alice and Bob in the Wonderland of IT Security – Event on Nov 14, 2019

Beside great opportunities, companies in the digital wonderland also face new dangers. At the event, the white-hat hackers from aramido show how easily criminals can gain access to sensitive data. You can experience the tools of the hackers firsthand and build your own small gadget in the soldering workshop. With a soldering iron and a 3D-printed housing, you can manufacture your own USB condom, with which you can charge your devices at public USB ports without any worries.

The event, conducted by the Digital Innovation Center (DIZ) in cooperation with the FZI, takes place on November 14, 2019, at Palazzo Karlsruhe and is free of charge.
