52nd OWASP Meetup - Guided Hacking of a Web Application

What is the OWASP Meetup?

The "Open Web Application Security Project" is a community with members from all over the world that aims to make web applications more secure. The OWASP Meetup is a regular meeting where participants exchange knowledge about the development and secure operation of web applications. As part of the community, aramido is pleased to provide the offices for this month's meetup and the opportunity to help shape the event. Numerous participants were able to discover the OWASP Top 10 security risks as well as several other security gaps in the field of web applications by hacking the Juice Shop. The Juice Shop represents a negative example of a web application that contains several critical security gaps and is therefore particularly well-suited for training purposes . The entire event was operated in so-called "Capture-The-Flag" mode, which means that each found security gap earns a predefined number of points, allowing the participants to compete against each other in several teams.
