What advantages does a vulnerability scan offer?
The vulnerability scan offers a quick and affordable security gain, especially for environments in which standard software is used. The scanner tests your IT systems automatically and in a coordinated manner. The correct remediation of security gaps can be checked easily and quickly at any time through follow-up tests.
As an automated test, a vulnerability scan cannot simulate a targeted attack. To protect against individual hacker attacks, we therefore recommend a Penetration Test. The vulnerability scan is also known as a vulnerability scan, vulnerability assessment, or vulnerability analysis.
- Affordable risk check for known vulnerabilities
- Fast results of the assessment
- Protection against automated attacks
- Easily reproducible vulnerability tests
What are the procedure and result of a scan?
| 1 | You define the test target (e.g., an IP address, a hostname, or a service). |
| 2 | The scans are carried out based on the software used (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Magento, or operating systems such as Linux). |
| 3 | You receive a report of the scans carried out with a risk assessment of the discovered vulnerabilities. |
Which variants of the vulnerability scan are offered?
Web Scan
With the web scan, we test your web application for security gaps. The web scan is based on the specifications of the BSI for an information security web check (IS-Webcheck). The standard environments we support include WordPress, Joomla, TYPO3, Magento and many more.
Server Scan
In the server scan, your server is examined for known vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. In the process, listening services are identified and open ports are checked. The environments we support include, among others, the Linux distributions Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS, as well as the web servers Apache and Nginx.
You don't want strangers to access your data and business secrets? With a vulnerability scan, you gain clarity on whether you are at risk.
